We are most grateful to Mike Bowler for his donation of
£673 after he jumped from one of Teesside's iconic structures,
The Transporter Bridge.
Mr Gary Jowers, owner of the Scorpio Kickboxing Club donated
the £400 raffle ticket proceeds from one of his successful
sponsored kickboxing shows. Mr Jowers is also the uncle of 11 year old
Abbie Wright, an insulin pump wearer and active member of the Scorpio
Club. He wanted to support Abbie and others like her and the
opportunity to thank him properly occured recently when he came along
to a photo-shoot. Also present was Dr Ginny Birrell, Consultant
Paediatrician at The James Cook University Hospital who also received a
cheque from FLD for some children's books about diabetes that she'd
bought for the clinic.
We are currently canvassing our members and potential new

in becoming one (we do only cover the Cleveland area) and have not took
part already, please do so in one of two ways listed below; Please
leave a contact number or address if you would like us to contact you,
thanks.

The downloaded form should be completed and returned by
handing it in to the healthcare team on your next visit to clinic.
Your feedback and thoughts are valuable in helping us to
provide support, now and in the future.
We are always on the look out for more committee members so please
contact us if you feel you can help.
Another way of helping is to nominate FLD as part of a
company's charitable contribution scheme.
