We provide a free, colorful newsletter, usually bi-monthly with news, views and reviews of topical events and activities.

There are two types of card available:-

'Treated with Insulin' or 'Treated with tablets'

• Credit card size
• Plastic coated
• Only 50p per card

Note. Newly diagnosed children in the area can now get their first card for free.

Email us now ( enquire@diabetes-fld.org.uk ) to request an application slip (you will also need to enclose a passport sized photograph (one per card requested) with the completed application slip, and a stamped, self addressed envelope would be appreciated).

Reminder:- If you already have a card then please remember to ensure it is up to date. 50p is a small price to pay for a little peace of mind.

Birthday Cards

All children in the family under the age of 17 are sent a Birthday card from their friends at FLD. This helps to reinforce the value of helping families that have a child with diabetes by including siblings.

Child of Achievement Award

Each year we invite nominations for any child with diabetes that has shown courage and determination in their endeavours to cope with this condition. Each nominee receives public praise, financial reward and a certificate of achievement during the awards ceremony part of our Christmas party.
